Privacy Policy

Last updated on February 27, 2026

Your privacy is fundamental to how we build Aquin. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect from users of Aquin and how we use it.

This Privacy Policy applies to services provided by Aquin Labs and our web-based platform (the "Platform" or "Services"). This Policy explains what information we collect from users of our Services, including information that may be used to personally identify you ("Personal Information") and how we use it.

We encourage you to read the details below. This Policy applies to any user of the Aquin platform.

Privacy & Safety by Design: Aquin is built with privacy and safety as core principles, not afterthoughts. Your datasets and trained models belong entirely to you. We never use your training data for any purpose other than running your jobs, never sell your data to third parties, and never expose your proprietary data to other users. Safety guardrails and responsible use policies are enforced at the platform level to ensure Aquin is not used to build harmful AI systems.

what information do we collect and store?

Account Information

When you create an account, we collect and store:

- Your name, email address, and profile picture

- Secure authentication tokens managed by Supabase

- Account preferences and plan/subscription status

Training & Platform Data

To operate the Aquin training platform, we store the following on our secure cloud infrastructure:

Datasets: Datasets you upload are stored in encrypted cloud storage (Cloudflare R2) solely to execute your training jobs. They are never accessed for any other purpose.

Training Configurations: Your selected base model, training method (LoRA, QLoRA, or full fine-tuning), and job settings are stored to manage and track your training runs.

Trained Model Weights: Models produced from your training jobs are stored securely in Cloudflare R2 under your account. You may download or delete them at any time.

Training Job Logs: Logs generated during your training runs (loss curves, job status, error messages) are stored to help you monitor and debug your jobs.

Usage & Credits: Your compute credit balance, training job history, and usage metrics are stored for billing and account management purposes.

Payment Information

Payment processing is handled entirely by Dodo Payments. Aquin does not collect, store, or have access to your credit card numbers, CVV codes, or other sensitive payment credentials. We only receive subscription status and transaction confirmations from Dodo Payments.

how do we use the information we collect?

We use the information we collect solely to operate and improve the Aquin platform:

- Authenticate and manage your account

- Execute, monitor, and deliver your training jobs

- Store your trained models and datasets until you choose to delete or download them

- Manage your compute credit balance and billing

- Send important service updates, job completion notifications, and announcements

- Provide customer support when you contact us

- Detect and prevent fraudulent or unauthorized use

- Improve platform reliability and performance using aggregated, anonymized usage metrics

We do not use your datasets or trained models for any purpose other than executing your jobs. We do not use your data for advertising, marketing profiling, or any purpose beyond providing the Aquin service.

understanding data flow: training and storage

How a Training Job Works

When you run a training job on Aquin:

- Your dataset is uploaded over an encrypted connection and stored in Cloudflare R2 under your account

- A training job is queued and a dedicated GPU instance (GCP) spins up exclusively for your job

- Training runs in an isolated compute environment — your data is never shared with or accessible to other users

- Once training completes, your model weights are saved back to your secure R2 storage and the GPU instance self-terminates

- You can download your trained model at any time and delete it from our storage when you no longer need it

- Aquin never uses your training data or resulting models for any purpose other than executing your job

Hugging Face Model Downloads

When you select a base model from Hugging Face to start training:

- Base model weights are fetched from Hugging Face directly into the isolated GPU environment for your job

- Aquin does not redistribute or permanently store base model weights beyond the scope of your training job

- Subject to Hugging Face's privacy policy and the respective model's license

platform safety and responsible use

Important: Aquin is committed to responsible AI development. We enforce platform-level safety policies to prevent the training or deployment of models intended to cause harm, spread disinformation, generate illegal content, or violate the rights of others. All training jobs are subject to our Acceptable Use Policy. Aquin reserves the right to suspend accounts and terminate training jobs that violate these policies. If you believe the platform is being used harmfully, please contact us at aquin@aquin.app.

data sharing and third-party services

Aquin does not sell your personal information or training data to any third party. To operate the platform, we work with the following trusted infrastructure providers:

Google Cloud Platform (GCP): GPU instances used to run your training jobs operate on GCP. Each job runs in an isolated VM that self-terminates upon completion — see cloud.google.com/terms/cloud-privacy-notice

Cloudflare R2: Your datasets and trained model weights are stored in Cloudflare R2, encrypted at rest — see cloudflare.com/privacypolicy

Hugging Face: When you select base models, requests are routed to Hugging Face — see huggingface.co/privacy

Supabase: We use Supabase for authentication and storing account data (name, email, profile picture, subscription status) — see supabase.com/privacy

Dodo Payments: Payment processing is handled by Dodo Payments. We do not receive or store your raw payment credentials — see dodopayments.com/privacy

We never sell your personal information, datasets, or trained models to third parties under any circumstances.

data security and retention

We implement strong security measures to protect your data across the platform:

- All data encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest (AES-256 via Cloudflare R2)

- Strict access controls — your datasets and models are isolated and inaccessible to other users

- Training jobs run in dedicated, isolated GPU instances that self-terminate after each job

- No persistent compute VMs — GPU instances only exist for the duration of a training run

- Regular security audits and infrastructure updates

Retention: Account information is retained while your account is active and deleted upon account closure. Datasets and trained models are retained in Cloudflare R2 until you delete them or close your account. Training job logs are retained for 90 days. Upon account deletion, all your data is permanently removed from our systems within 30 days.

your rights and choices

You have full rights over your data on Aquin:

Access and Update: Review and update your account information at any time from your account settings

Download Your Data: Download your trained model weights and datasets at any time from your dashboard

Delete Your Data: Delete individual datasets or trained models at any time from your dashboard

Delete Account: Request full account deletion, which will permanently remove all your data from our systems

Data Portability: Request a copy of your account data in a portable format

To exercise these rights, contact us at aquin@aquin.app

third-party services

The following third-party services are integral to the Aquin platform. We recommend reviewing their privacy policies:

Google Cloud Platform: GPU compute infrastructure for training jobs — see cloud.google.com/terms/cloud-privacy-notice

Cloudflare R2: Encrypted storage for datasets and trained models — see cloudflare.com/privacypolicy

Hugging Face: Open-source model repository for base model selection — see huggingface.co/privacy

Supabase: Authentication and account data storage — see supabase.com/privacy

Dodo Payments: Usage-based payment processing — see dodopayments.com/privacy

We select infrastructure partners based on their security standards and data protection commitments.

children's privacy

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If we become aware that we have collected such information, we will delete it immediately.

changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by:

- Updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this policy

- Sending an email notification to your registered address for significant changes
